I started this post a few weeks ago and didn’t finish it, now it seems rather appropriate for the first day of the new year, Happy and Healthy New Year to All! It’s all about projects and the importance of actually having one.
Human beings need projects, we need something to do, we need something that fuels our passion and gets us motivated. There is nothing more healthy than that feeling of positivity that runs through you when you’re working on a project you love.
Your project may be your family, doing up your house, getting fit and healthy, helping people, your project may be your business or organisation, etc, you may also have more than one project going on. It is something that gives you joy when you do it, something you feel it is worth getting out of bed for, something that gives you that childlike enthusiasm.
Having a project is good for you as it gets the positive vibes running through your body.
So if you feel you haven’t got a project how do you discover yours? Well, first of all open yourself up to the possibility of new things entering your life. Of doing something different to what you usually do. I have just started a new project and I’ll describe how I found it, or should I say ‘how IT found me’ which would be nearer the truth.
I am 53 and with that age comes all sorts of issues with menopause and stuff, you have to start really taking care of your body and mind as all the stuff you’ve been doing wrong up to this time could start to show as the body is wearing out its resistance to your bad habits. Physical body bad habits such as posture (not sitting correctly, or sitting too much) as well as mind bad habits, e.g. thinking negative thoughts.
Up until last year I didn’t do enough walking, I’ve always been fairly fit, my sport has been swimming which I have done on and off since I was in college. However, one of the dangers of getting older is the onset of osteoporosis. One of the ways to help prevent this is doing weightbearing exercise, well swimming isn’t weightbearing so I had to add something else to my routine, plus in our society of staying indoors a lot there is the danger of a lack of vitamin D, an essential vitamin for many body processes.
The ideal exercise, therefore, I decided was walking as I would also be getting outside. I live on the outskirts of town and there is a nice little walk which takes about an hour to complete, lovely views and of course a bar to pop into for a cappuccino at the end. This was like a mini project inside my major project of getting older healthily. However, getting outside more often led me to another project as while walking I really made an effort to listen to the sounds around me, not just passive listening but more active involved listening. It really is incredible what you can hear once you start to listen.
One thing usually leads to another as you put out vibes to the universe, so one day, after folllowing a few leads from the universe, I found myself with a device in my hand which turns the vibrations of plants and stones into musical notes.
Since then I have recorded many trees, indoor and outdoor plants plus many stones. Each time there are variations. Here is an example of a plant and stone playing together.
The whole world is vibrating, now even the scientists say that the world is energy, though anyone who has out-of-body experiences is aware of this, the scientists have finally caught up.
Listening to the music of the plants and stones brings you closer to nature, indeed closer to who we really are, for we are energy too, we are constantly vibrating. When I have out-of-body experiences I often meet people I know, some who have passed on, others are people I know from my astral adventures. Their appearance often changes but each one has an ‘energy stamp’ that I recognise immediately.
When I listen to plant and stone music it gives me a sense of well-being, it also awakens something deep within as if it is touching my soul in a way that I cannot put into words because it is not of the physical world, there are no words. I truly believe in the power of nature to help us heal, to balance our energy, I have been experimenting with the music, listening to it while I sleep, it’s early days but I do feel it has a positive effect.
So, this is my project, connecting with nature on a deeper level and healing with sound, using sounds to balance our energies. Our busy lives are so involved that there are many things that may put our energies out of balance, our diet, pollution, stress….the list unfortunately is endless.
Remember, projects give you enthusiasm for life, they give you a sense of purpose, follow the leads the universe sends you and lets get these projects underway!
